I enjoyed every book in the Marblestone Mansion series! Except, they really could not be read as stand alone. I have to say she keeps you buying and reading her books, and I have never seen her books accused as being cliff hangers. I wonder why? But, I have to say these are the best cliffhangers i have ever read. So that said I give them 5 stars. Although I had no gripes with her Highlander series, it was excellent. But the books of Marblestone Mansion series endings seemed a little rushed and left you kind of hanging. And hanging in there, I did, until I got them all read to the very last one. If I would have guessed where it would end, I never would have started it. I am so upset in how she ended it but then it is really about the scandalous Duchess, not about the family in general. I hope there is more to come. That is for sure, because I want to see the Duchess rise again, like out of the flames of the Phoenix. : )Product details

Wonderful series! Didn't want it to end!
Just finished the ten books of the Scandalous Duchess Series. Easy, enjoyable and entertaining story. Am looking forward to reading more books by Marti Talbott.
Love the work of this author. I read every book she publishes.
Sucked me in as an escape...read all 10 books in four days.
ending was...well... eh but I did enjoy the characters, the visual descriptions and the intermittent historical references.
I was surprised when book 10 came out so quickly. And it is great. One of the best books in the series. I couldn't put it down. I don't know . If the series is . Over but I hope not. The author draws you into the story so that you are sitting in the dining room of the ship as it crosses the ocean.
This series of books are excellent. I would recommend them to anyone that likes this type of story. I didn't want the family story to end. You get so drawn in that you feel as if your reading a story about your own families past life history.
I have enjoyed the entire Marblestone Mansion Series by Marti Talbott and the Viking book series along with her Highland series that proceeds the history of this family coming from Scotland to America. Marti is an awesome writer developing her characters and story very well. I could not wait to read the next book and have read all I could get my hands on by her. I recommend any and all of her books - best to start with her Viking Series and you will be hooked to follow this family's journey from the shores of Scotland during the Viking Era to their riches and development of Colorado.
